No one respects the need for intensive training, safety precautions and equipment maintenance more than serious skydivers. And yet, until now, even the most experienced and cautious jumpers have found it difficult to purchase accident insurance to cover their jumps.
That’s why the United States Parachute Association (USPA) is pleased to endorse Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage for USPA members and their families. Accidents can happen. With this insurance, you are covered whether you are involved in a parachuting accident or an unrelated accident. You are insured for accidental loss of life, limb, sight, speech, hearing or paralysis at home or away, anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day.
This accident program provides coverage 24 hours a day while on business or pleasure -- while traveling and while parachuting. The insurance also covers you while riding as a passenger in an aircraft being used for the transportation of passengers.
All active, dues-paying USPA members are eligible for this coverage. Spouses or domestic partners and unmarried dependent children (under age 19, 25 if a full-time student) may be covered provided the USPA member chooses the Family Plan when enrolling.
Additional benefits include:
- Paralysis: the plan will pay up to $100,000 for parachute-related accidents causing paralysis ($200,000 for non-parachuted-related accidents)
- Medical Evacuation and Repatriation: the plan will pay up to $5,000 for evacuation or repatriation
- Guarantee Payment of Hospital Admission: the plan will guarantee payment of hospital admission up to $500
